Any of my fellow Parks & Recreation fans know that a very special holiday is coming up. No, not Valentine's Day... it's girly counterpart, Galentine's Day! What's Galentine's Day you ask??
According to the great Leslie Knope, February 13th, or "Galentine's Day" is a nonofficial holiday, that is a day for “ladies celebrating ladies.”
In the words of Leslie herself... "Oh, it's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.
Some of my sorority friends and I (Go Gamma Phi!) get together every year to celebrate the occasion with brunch... and of course bottomless mimosas. If you're looking to celebrate with some of your favorite gals, I've put together a little Galentine's Day Etsy Wishlist for some great gift ideas.
