Fast Cars & Fast Balls

This past weekend was my boyfriends birthday and we spent ALL of Saturday celebrating. We started early down at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

One of his friends has a boat down at Shoreline Village so we headed down there.

After the questionable weather on Friday I was so nervous that Saturday was going to be another gloomy rainy day but it ended up being absolutely beautiful.
We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. After several hours (and several drinks) down at the Grand Prix we headed back to his house to meet up with his friends and the limo that I got us to take us to the Dodger game. If you know anything about me, you know I'm a die hard Angel fan, BUT it was my boyfriends birthday so I made an exception and sported some blue for him.
The entire drive to the game Sam kept saying "Kemp is gunna hit two bombs for my birthday. He told me". We all just laughed. If you happened to have watched or been at the game you'd know that Matt Kemp did just that. The Dodgers, who currently have the best record in baseball and can't seem to lose won against the San Diego Padres 6-1.

We finished the birthday festivities by going to Gallagher's, a local Long Beach bar that seems to have become a birthday tradition (it's where I ended up at the end of my last birthday as well).
After a full day of celebrating we spent most of Sunday recovering. It was such a wonderful weekend with wonderful company.

If you've never been, I definitely recommend going to the Grand Prix.

I'm a little sad though because I broke tradition. The last two years I've gone with my best friend Danica. This is the first year she's been a married old lady though. Hopefully next year we'll get to continue the tradition because I missed her this year :(

This weekend is another exciting one! I have TWO first birthday parties to attend AND Danica and I are partaking in The Color Run which we are both REALLY excited for. Surprisingly enough it was my idea. Hopefully it's not one that I end up regretting like some of my lofty ideas. Haha. Danica can attest to my not-so-genius ideas but for now, I'm really looking forward to it! :)

xoxo,
